Art can often take over, dragging you into a closed off world of creative isolation. If you're not careful, time can pass you by as your mind is slowly drained of it's creative juices.
This past year, I have explored many mediums, styles and techniques, in the quest for that one signature style to call my own. More than anything, I would love to one day be able to call myself a professional artist - there is no greater feeling then hearing positive feedback on the art you love to create. However, the mixture of 'creative isolation' and the usual suspect 'procrastination', have held me back from taking that first terrifying step into the marketplace. I remember a wise guy telling me that, by publicly sharing your targets, the expectation and encouragement from others will help you to achieve them. So, with a renewed determination and willpower (who knows where it came from?), here are my aims for the next 3 months: 1. To get a pitch at a local market 2. To complete 1-2 commissions 3. To have my art hanging in 2 venues To follow my progress and adventures, keep your eyes peeled for new posts right here!
